Public Skills Workshops

SkillsLoop Public Skills Workshops

Shorter, focused mountain bike coaching sessions designed to help you work on specific skills without committing to a full-day course.

Each workshop focuses on a different area of riding, breaking the technique down into manageable chunks and giving you plenty of time to practise with professional coaching and feedback.

Perfect if you want to sharpen a particular skill, build confidence or simply add something new to your riding.

Small session. Big progression.

You do not always need a full day of coaching to make a big difference to your riding.

SkillsLoop workshops concentrate on specific techniques in bite-sized sessions, giving you enough time to understand the movement, practise it and start turning it into something you can use on the trail.

Focused coaching

Each workshop has a clear skill focus, helping you spend more time working on the area you actually want to improve.

Clear progressions

We break techniques down into manageable stages so you understand what you are doing and why.

Build confidence

Progress at a sensible pace with professional coaching, feedback and plenty of opportunities to practise.

Great value

A focused three-hour coaching session gives you professional MTB coaching without needing to commit to a full-day course.

What to expect on the day

Bike check

Before we start, we will have a look over your bike and help with any small setup changes that could improve your riding.

This may include tyre pressures, suspension, cockpit position or brake lever setup.

Get your bike dialled before the workshop

Coaching works best when your bike is working with you, not against you.

Our SkillsLoop Bike Setup Tool gives you personalised starting points for tyre pressures, suspension setup, bar width, cockpit position, brake lever position and more.

Get your bike closer before your coaching session and arrive ready to concentrate on your riding.

Body position

Whatever skill we are working on, good body position gives us the foundation to build from.

We will make sure you are balanced, stable and able to move freely around the bike before progressing further.

Technique breakdown

We demonstrate the technique, break the movement into manageable stages and explain what you should be feeling on the bike.

Practice and feedback

You will get plenty of opportunities to practise while your coach provides individual feedback and adjustments.

The goal is to leave with something you understand and can continue practising after the workshop.
