Private Jumps & Drops Course
Private Jumps & Drops Course
Want to improve your jumping, tackle drops with more confidence and finally understand what your bike should be doing?
Our Private Jumps & Drops Course breaks everything down into manageable steps, helping you develop better timing, body position and bike control.
Whether you're learning your first jumps or progressing towards larger features, we'll tailor the coaching to your ability and goals.
Is this course right for you?
This course is suitable for riders who want to improve their jumping, develop better drop techniques or build confidence when their wheels leave the ground.
From nervous first attempts to riders looking for more consistency on larger features, we'll help you understand what's happening and how to improve it.
What will we work on?
We'll start by checking your foundations, then develop the movements needed for controlled jumping and drop techniques.
Body Position & Balance
Develop a strong, balanced riding position that allows the bike to move freely underneath you.
Pumping & Dynamic Movement
Learn to load and unload the bike, use your arms and legs effectively and work with the shape of the terrain.
Jump Technique
Improve your approach speed, take-off timing, body movement and landing control.
Drop Techniques
Learn how and when to use rolling drops, pop drops and the trolley push technique.
Squash, POP, Hands, Feet! We'll help you understand the timing behind jumping so you're not simply relying on speed or pulling on the handlebars.
Choose your riding level
We offer two coaching options depending on your experience and the type of features you want to ride.
Beginner / Intermediate
Location: Follow the Dog, Cannock Chase
Ideal for riders learning to jump, improving their foundations or building confidence with drops.
- Jumping foundations
- Body position and timing
- Small jumps and table tops
- Rolling, pop and trolley push drops
- Progressive confidence building
Advanced
Location: Stile Cop
For riders who already have good jumping foundations and want to progress onto more demanding features.
- Larger jumps and table tops
- Gap jump progression
- Step-down features
- Larger drops
- Take-off and landing refinement
Not sure which level to choose? If you're still developing your jumping technique or confidence, Beginner / Intermediate is usually the best starting point.
Advanced is designed for riders who already jump confidently and want to work on larger features.
Build the technique before the size
Good jumping isn't about pulling harder on the bars or simply going faster. It's about understanding how to load the bike, time your movement and follow the shape of the jump.
Drops also require different techniques depending on the feature, speed and landing. We'll help you understand which technique works best and why.
Progression without pressure. We'll only move onto larger features when your technique, control and confidence are ready.
